Pushkin Industries and the acclaimed Bad Women brand have released a new podcast series about an unsolved disappearance in Ireland in September 1976 — and the investigation has already made contact with around a dozen witnesses who have never previously come forward.

On August 28, 1976, 23-year-old Elizabeth Plunkett walked out of McDaniel's pub in Brittas Bay, County Wicklow, Ireland, and vanished. Her body was found a month later washed ashore in County Wexford. Two convicted serial killers confessed to her murder—yet no one was ever formally charged with her death.

In August and September 1976, English serial killers Geoffrey Evans and John Shaw abducted, raped, and murdered two young Irish women in what became known as Ireland's first serial killing case. Despite confessing to both murders, neither man was ever convicted of the crimes.
